A Fine and exceptional Pair of Sancai Attendants, Ming Dynasty, Wanli Period, (AD1573-1620) . Each modeled standing on a hexagonal base , wearing long green and amber-glazed robes with arms folded in front within wide sleeves, the male figure carrying a black box, the woman holding an green-glazed basin tilted forward as if in offering, each face painted white with features detailed in red and black pigments and surmounted with a tall headdress . Detailing and condition is exceptional, a wonderful addition to a collection. Comes with original Certificate from Yau arts.

Height 16 inches.

Condition: Excellent and unrestored, the male figure has some modest degradation to the glaze as typical with these figures and as shown in the photos.

Provenance: Purchased in Hong Kong from Yau Arts in 1996
