A lovely hand carved vintage Lobi stool from Burkina Faso circa 1970s.
Dynamic Geometric Form with openings at each side. Seat is a rich brown natural finish. Legs and underside colored black.
Four solid legs.
Hand carved from a single block of wood.
Smooth to the touch and very sturdy.
Each family head possessed a hand carved stool and carried it with them when they traveled. These stools are symbols of status.
