Antique East Indian Primitive Bronze Statue of Lord Krishna Holding a Butterball19th century or earlier. A small primitive East Indian bronze image of the Lord Krishna as a toddler holding a butterball. The story of Krishna who was adopted by a family of mortal cow herders and then stealing a butterball from his mother is one of my favorites and I have treasured this piece for many years. The piece is intact, some wear and pitting commensurate with age. Height 3.25 inches
