A Herodian Roman Juglet from the Holy Land. 1st Century BCE.

This simple handled terracotta juglet of globular form was used to carry small amounts of oil for refilling oil lamps or perhaps anointing. These small terracotta juglets were made in Jerusalem and elsewhere in the time of Jesus. Comes with a lucite stand.

Condition: Intact without loss, wear commensurate with age.
