A Pre-Columbian Costa Rican Polychrome Globular Pottery Jar. The delicate globular form has two sets of four raised nibs and an intriguing geometric pattern with zoomorphic images. Possibly Guanacaste or Nicoya region.
Circa 800-1200 AD Measurements 5.5 inches High X 9 inches wide Condition: Very good, intact without any restoration or repair. Small chip to rim and degradation to polychrome as visible in photos. Provenance: From the estate of a Manhattan collector purchased in the 1960's
